What is PhotoDeposit?
PhotoDeposit provides an online system for managing, viewing, selling & printing digital photographs.
What are the benefits of using PhotoDeposit?
- Use of web-based technology to increase online effectiveness
& decreasing cost. Everything is point an click.
- PhotoDeposit is the only service that gives you full
branding support. You would operate PhotoDeposit under your
own domain such as www.yourdomainname.com. That means your
users will remain in your site.
- Photodeposit is designed for individual photographers
as well as studios. Our features gives the ability to assign
events to individual photographers.
- PhotoDeposit can take orders and ship prints to your
customers for you. You don't have to do a thing. Each month,
if there's orders, we would send out a check to you. You
can also check the orders online.
- PhotoDeposit tracks your customers, and give you the option
to send promotional emails to inscrease sales.
How does it work?
You sign up free, and a site (such as http://demo.photodeposit.com)
is created for you. In addition, two free jobs is given so
that you can posting your pictures and start selling. You
have the following options: your own domain name or use our
subdomain, you can accept orders or have PhotoDeposit do all
(accept orders and mail prints), etc. For site customization,
we enhance your standard site with an advanced layout have
the feel and look of your liking, however, we do charge a
fee for this.
How much does it cost to put an event online?
There is no monthly fee, no commission charge, and no activation
fee. When a site is created for you, two "Event Credits"
are given so that you can create events right away. After
that, you can refill your "Event Credits", each
event credit range from $6 to $15 depending whether you are
a business or individual/non-profit organizations and how
much you buy. For example: assume you are a non-profit organization
wanting to sell pictures, and you decided to purchase 10 "event
credits" which is priced at $14, however, we would add
10 extra "event credits" because you are from a
non-profit organization giving you 20 event credits which
is half the cost. Unfortunately, we have to pay for our servers,
bandwidth, and small staff to maintain the services. Call

Are there any setup or membership fees?
There is no setup or membership fee, no monthly fee nor commission
fee. You will only pay for events that you want to post, after
the two free events, of course.
How long does it take to get an event ready for viewing?
Event pictures are ready to be viewed and sold within the
moments they are uploaded.
How long can an event be available online?
The usual period of viewing of an event is 3 months. However
the photographer can extend this time as long as he wants.
Each extension will reduce one or more events from his/her
deposit depending on the period chosen.
Can I set the pricing for the prints?
Yes, you can set the pricing for your prints as well as choose
which print sizes should be available for a particular event.
Do you accept film? (processed & unprocessed)
No. Photodeposit.com is an online service that requires your
images to be in the digital format. Currently, we accept only
JPEG format.
What type of digital images can be uploaded using my webfront?
You can upload high resolution JPG or JPEG format images.
The image size can be usually between 10 KB to 4 megabytes.
Images of size bigger than 4 Megabytes require extra CPU processing,
but serve no purpose unless you are printing great than 40
by 60, which is rare.
What type of computer and internet connection do I need?
Any PC or MAC with an internet connection and a web browser is only needed. For better results we recommend a faster computer and connecting via a higher speed Internet connection like DSL or Cable Modem. Our image upload process is browser independent meaning you can use your favorite java compliant browser like Internet Explorer, Netscape, Mozilla, Opera or Safari.
Does a PhotoDeposit account mean linking to your website for
your services?
No, PhotoDeposit is an engine, so it can be run from any sites.
That means you can use your own domain (such as www.yourdomainname.com)
and still have all the features. Your customers don't have
to travel outside of your website making it more professional.
How do I register and start using PhotoDeposit's services?
Signup using the online application by clicking here. One of
the PhotoDeposit customer service executives will contact you
to answer any questions you may have and help you get started
with your webfront. We can get it up within 24 hours. |
